Oppo N1 Mini launched in India

Chinese manufacturer Oppo launched its Oppo NI Mini in India but with a hefty price tag of `26,999 and will be available in stores later this week.
Oppo is relatively new company which made a dent in the market with its innovative rotating camera and budget prices with high-end specs. Oppo N1 Mini is the (as the name suggests) mini version of its flagship, Oppo N1 which was launched earlier this year.
Lets take a look at its specifications.
  • CPU: 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
  • GPU: Adreno 305
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Memory: 16GB internal (expandable via microSD)
  • Display: 5-inch HD
  • OS: Android 4.3 with ColorOS 1.4
  • Camera: 13MP rotating camera with LED flash
  • Connectivity: 3G, LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi
  • Battery: 2140mAh
The major attraction of this smartphone is the rotating camera which was also present on the original Oppo N1. It’s a 13-megapixel swirling camera with Sony IMX214 sensor. The camera is capable of shooting 24MP photos in Ultra HD mode, like that of Nokia PureView Tech - which we are already familiar with from Find 7.
You can also click photos with O-Click remote through your camera and is available separately for `1,890.
For these specifications, the price of the smartphone is quite high. There are many new players like Xiaomi and big players like Motorola, HTC and Sony offering these specifications at a lower price. But time will tell how the Indian market welcomes it.
