LG AKA - Cute, Adorable but Weird

In the race of powerful smartphones, LG came up with a weird phones with built-in cartoonish personalities. The new range is available in four models – Eggy, Wooky, Soul and YoYo.
Eggy is the yellow creature, which falls in love easily. Wooky, the white model, likes slang and is “cute”. YoYo, the only female of the family, loves hamburgers and drinking cokes. Soul is a dark navy blue character is fond of music. The phones come changeable sleeve covers, embedded with a microchip, to switch moods/characters. Which leave the top quarter of the display uncovered. That’s where you’ll see those googly eyes show up, giving your phone a bit of personality even when it’s idle. Of course, that space also shows incoming notifications, so it serves a real purpose as well.
When it comes to hardware, the AKA is decidedly less impressive, sporting a 5-inch HD IPS display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a removable 2,610mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with microSD support and NFC. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a heavy dose of LG software on top.
For now AKA is limited to South Korea, where you can buy one for 500,000 won (roughly `28,042). Any information about its international availability is not yet known. For the time being see the bizarre promotional video below.

Features that make LG G3 a Killer Deal

Today saw the unveiling of the latest in the flagship device by LG which was LG G3. Check out my review of the device. Its truly a beast with powerful specifications. Apart from that, there are some features which are make it capable to outpace its peers in the race to the top.

FIRST, is the Quad HD display. It’s the only device having such a display from a flagship manufacturer. It’s pixel resolution is 538ppi which is not common on the market.

A Sharp Quad HD 5.5-inch display
SECOND, is the Smart Keyboard. It quickly adapts to your typing ways and the company claims that your mistakes reduces by 75 per cent when using it. Also you can teak its size according to your comfort from small and compact to large.

Smart Keyboard is resizeable and has fast learning
THIRD, is the 13MP OSI camera. LG is proud of its new Laser focus on the device which it claims to focus in 276ms, even faster than blinking of human eye.

13MP OSI with Laser Auto Focus for sharp Images
FOURTH, is Smart Notice. At first it looks like LG’s version of Google Now but its not. Its going to tell you that you missed a call and have to call back or its going to rain and you probably get an umbrella which is pretty awesome. Its capable of providing information based on when and where you are.
How will this device going to perform in India is for the time to come but till then go check the device.

Smart Notice......just Awesome

LG G3 launched in India : Flagship war Continues

LG just launched their flagship device, LG G3 in India at a launch event held at Mumbai. As was expected the phone is priced similar to the other flagships like HTC One (M8), Sony Experia Z2 or Samsung Galaxy S5. Its 16GB version is priced for `47,900 and 32GB version is priced at `50,900. Its currently available on Infibeam

The phone is LTE enabled so no problem should be there on the connectivity end. The G3 India launch offer also includes a discount of `5000 on company’s latest Android Wear based G Watch which was available from Google’s Play Store. For the time being LG is giving 1500 Collector's Edition LG G3 with Mr. Amitabh Bachhan's signature too.

First a look at its specifications.
·        CPU : 25 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
·        GPU : Adreno 330
·        Storage & RAM : 16GB Internal with 2GB RAM or 32GB Internal with 3GB RAM(expandable to 128GB through microSD card)
·        OS : Android 4.4.2 KitKat
·        Rear Camera : 13MP OIS with Laser Auto-focus and Dual LED Flash
·        Front Camera : 2.1MP
·        Display : 5.5-inch Quad HD(2560x1440)
·        Connectivity : 3G, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, LTE, Glonass, A-GPS
·        Battery : 3,000mAh

These specifications are just enough for someone to know how powerful this beast is. Also LG has redesigned the UI making it more flat, sort of resembling the Google Now Card interface.

...

The G3 shares its design with its predecessor which is LG G2. There are no buttons on the sides, everything from power button to volume rockers at the back panel which was introduced first on LG G2. Although the company has redesigned it but it looks fabulous. Also LG also launched Quick Circle case but as of now there is no news of its availability in India.
