A
new Hands-Free app is in line from the search giant Google as is evident from
the recent leak from Google itself. Google posted a promotional GIF displaying
how Google Now can be used as a translator. But in the midst of the translator
feature, a mysterious “Hands-Free” app icon was spotted on home screen and that
became a big gossip topic among Android enthusiasts.
Google
already showcased Android Auto at the Google I/O this year and the recent
development in the Google’s Self-Driving Car makes it clearer that Google is quite
eager to enter in your cars and give you a whole lot of Android features on
your dashboard.
Luckily for us, the
GIF is based on a rather poorly-edited screenshot which besides attempting to
cover up the L status bar with a KitKat status bar reveals a dog-foot Photos
icon, and another icon labelled "Google Hands-Free" (Presumably
"Hands-Free") with fitting steering wheel imagery. Take a look at the GIF and the still shot side by side:
Rather
unsurprisingly, the GIF has since been pulled — but of course, that won’t stop
us from talking about Android Hands-Free. Hopefully we will hear or see
something official soon.
